# Uploading The Initial Image

**Choose and Prepare Your Photo**

You have options for your photo source:

* **Use a photo from previous photoshoots**
* **Upload a photo of yourself (or another model) wearing the product**

When selecting or uploading a photo, ensure:

* The **product is clearly visible** without any accessories or hair obscuring it.
* The photo is **well-lit** for optimal quality.

{% hint style="success" %}
Don’t worry if parts of the **model or yourself** are visible that you’d prefer to adjust. With **hippist AI**, you’ll have the flexibility to change or customize any areas as needed.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Technical Requirements**: Ensure that the photo's longest side does not exceed 2048 pixels, and the file format must be JPEG or PNG.

**Ideal Photos for Best Results**

Ensure the product is worn by a model and photographed in a well-lit setting, without shadows obscuring any details. The background should be plain and a single color, allowing the product to stand out clearly. For close-up shots, the model's face and features should be clearly visible, with no obstructions like hats or sunglasses. Also, the product should be fully visible without other clothing or accessories overlapping or touching it.

**Photos to Avoid**

Avoid flat-lay images, as they won’t produce optimal results. Ensure the entire product is visible and not cropped or covered by any other objects.
